- RemoteAccess File Area Manipulator
-
- Copyright Motor City Software, 1993
-
-
- FOR REMOTE ACCESS V2.00 GAMMA ONLY!!!
-
- I always recommend BACKING UP any files modified with this utility, simply
- because it has been tested ONLY on my own system, where it seems to function
- well. (Even I back up the files first <grin>)
-
- BACK UP YOUR FILES.RA AND all your FDB files...
-
- This program will allow yyou to re-organize your file areas. You can insert,
- delete or move areas around....
-
-
- Run this program in the directory containing the FILES.RA
-
- You can hit F1 for a list of valid keys, but I will mention the cut and paste.
- Cursor Left will remove an entry from the current line, and place it in a
- buffer. move to the line where you want to insert it again, and hit cursor
- right. This will insert it BEFORE the current line.
-
- [INS] will insert a blank record BEFORE the current line, and [DEL] will
- delete the current line. It will not be placed in the buffer, and there is no
- way to retreive it, so it WILL ask you if you are SURE you want to delete
- an area. When you delete an area, McRafam will automatically remove any
- FDB files for this area!
-
- Once you have re-organised your file area, hit ESC and you will be asked if
- you want to save the changes. If you say NO, then nothing is changed. If you
- say yes, then it will rewrite the files.ra and renumber any changed FDB Files.
- This program reads the config.ra file found in the system directory to find
- the FDB files.
-
- It will only write out to the LAST USED record, so it wont write 1000 areas
- all the time. If your LAST area used is 400, then 400 areas will be written
- to the files.ra
-
- NOTE If you are running more than one node, and have a seperate FILES.RA in
- each nodes directory, then you must copy the one from the current directory
- to the other directories.
-
- This program is also limited to 1000 file areas.
-
- Hope this helps!
